Advocacy & Support for the ‘neurospicy’

As soon as it is helpful, your child or young person can be supported to understand the impact of their neurodiversity, to navigate daily experiences and challenges, and to build confidence and resilience.

Our specialists are here to help and coach you too.

We do not need a diagnosis to be able to support your ‘neurospicy’ child.

We help children and young people who are autistic

Our Autism Advocacy & Support Specialists are on hand to provide ongoing practical help and advice.

  • Six weekly (but sometimes fortnightly) sessions to explore your child or young person’s autism related challenges, devise some person centred goals and start to work on them. We like to include you in the first session so you can support your child or young person, but also so that we hear your hopes and wishes. Remaining sessions will be just for you child or young person, but you may be invited to a parent session for feedback and ideas to try at home. Lots of resources, supportive tools and activities will be used in the sessions, so it always good to learn about hobbies and interests.

  • Ongoing support. We find that for many young people, the first six sessions are just the start. Through discussion with the Autism Advocacy & Support Specialist, you can make a plan for the sessions to be ongoing.

  • Should you need a report at any stage then our specialist can provide this too.
