NNT Bitesize

Would you like to spend an hour, face to face, with a member of the Now, Next & Then team?

NNT Bitesize is your chance to figuratively ‘pick our brains’ on any topic, skill or functional area you might want to know more about or might be proving tricky for your child or you. An hour of practical tips and advice in a bitesize chunk.

Kids’ Bitesize is a one off session for your child (and you) to master a particular skill or to problem solve a particular challenge.

Choose from one of the following, or ask about anything else you might have in mind

With one of our Children’s Occupational Therapists:

Dressing Skills A bitesize session for practical problem solving for 1-2 specific areas for example, shoelace tying, school ties, socks, tights, buttons and zips etc.

An introduction to bike riding A practical session with your child to develop their bike riding skills.

Motor Skills coaching Help to develop your child’s motor skills in a specific area, e.g. ball skills, balance skills, or specific sports skills.

Movement/sensory breaks Why they help, how to implement them and how often they can be helpful.

With one of our Parent & Family Support Specialists:

Coordinating support for my child. A bitesize opportunity to be guided to navigate education and services for your child.

“Why am I finding it hard?” The highs and lows of parenting. This session can offer you evidenced based advice to explore your child’s challenging behaviours.

With any one of the NNT Team:

“Let’s talk about…”

Options: Autism, ADHD, ADD, Sensory Processing, navigating the school day, understanding SEN support or anything else you can think of.

An opportunity for children, parents or siblings to explore and learn about a relevant diagnosis or condition of childhood and how it impacts you/them.

With one of our Advocacy & Support Specialists:

An introduction to Visual Timetables and how these might help your child. Exploring how visual strategies can help with daily routines and developing independence.

Exploring school-based overwhelm. A bitesize session to explore factors and general strategies.

Social stories are an approach that can help autistic children cope with everyday challenges. In this bitesize session, we will explore how to develop and use one with your child.

NNT Bitesize is available face-to-face to those who live within a 10 mile radius of Bath. Further away can be arranged online. Each session is an hour long. NNT Bitesize is not a substitute for our bespoke assessments, intervention options or training packages, but can give you a taste of our knowledge and expertise, as well as our ethos and motivation to help.

We welcome enquiries from parents, carers, colleagues and education staff.
