Children’s Occupational Therapy
We provide specialist Children’s Occupational Therapy for families across Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas.
Each option has been carefully created to help you see the scope of what we offer, which can guide you to decide what is right for your child and you. We will, of course, talk you through any queries when you contact us.
Package One
A full and in depth assessment of all aspects of your child’s developmental and sensory processing needs. This OT assessment includes all the functional areas listed under Package Two.
What we discover will be immediately shared with you and your child’s school team at a meeting (or at a time to better suit you), followed by provision of a report with recommendations.
This assessment process will give you new insights and understanding of how your child functions and why, with advice on how you and school staff can help support any areas of difficulty.
If we consider it would be helpful, we will recommend some Occupational Therapy intervention sessions to directly work on areas that are challenging for your child, so that positive changes are quickly achieved.
Occupational Therapy Developmental & Sensory Assessments
We provide tailored OT assessments to explore and identify your child’s developmental and sensory strengths and needs. Our approach is entirely child centred.
Our assessments come with three choices for how they are reported
A full, very thorough report
An abridged report
An emailed summary
Package Two
Five shorter options; please choose one only
01 An assessment of your child’s motor co-ordination and functional skills
02 An assessment of your child’s sensory processing skills, and the impact on home and classroom participation
03 An assessment of the developmental and functional skills your child needs to master for appropriate handwriting (including dysgraphia) and participation in the classroom
04 An assessment of the developmental, sensory and functional skills your child needs to master at nursery/pre-school level
