Advocacy & Support for the neurodivergent
As soon as it is helpful, your child or young person can be supported to understand the impact of their neurodivergence, to navigate daily experiences and challenges, and to build confidence and resilience.
Our specialists are here to help and coach you too.
We do not need a diagnosis to be able to support your neurodivergent child.
We help children and young people who are autistic
Our Autism Advocacy & Support Specialists are on hand to provide ongoing practical help and advice.
Six weekly (but sometimes fortnightly) sessions to explore your child or young person’s autism related challenges, devise some person-centred goals and start to work on them.
We like to include you in the first session so you can support your child or young person, but also so that we hear your hopes and wishes. Remaining sessions will be just for your child or young person, but you may be invited to a parent session for feedback and ideas to try at home. Lots of resources, supportive tools and activities will be used in the sessions, so it is always good to learn about hobbies and interests.
Ongoing support. We find that for many young people, the first six sessions are just the start. Through discussion with the Autism Advocacy & Support Specialist, you can make a plan for the sessions to be ongoing.
Should you need a report at any stage then our specialist can provide this too.
We help children and young people who have ADHD
Our ADHD Advocacy & Support Specialists are here to provide practical strategies and solutions.
Six weekly (but sometimes fortnightly) sessions to explore what ADHD means for your child. This includes teaching your child about how their brains and bodies work, how to manage attention and impulse control (if relevant), emotional wellbeing and regulation, and engagement in everyday lives, which includes school, home, clubs and in the community. We like to be entirely child-centred, so we will focus on what’s important to your child or young person. Our goal is to build self-acceptance, being comfortable in who they are and feeling able to flourish in all areas of life.
Should you need a report or written advice, then our specialist can provide this too.
Coaching for families
We appreciate that for some families, it can feel difficult to access help. We are able to offer a safe space to talk through what neurodivergence means for you. This can include exploring ideas and strategies to support your child at home and in any aspect of their daily lives.
