Children’s Occupational Therapist

Hi! I’m Pinh, an Occupational Therapist with a passion for understanding the perspectives of all young people, and particularly those with neurodivergence. I feel we have so much to learn by working together through kindness, empathy and perspective-taking to create support that helps individuals’ needs and their families’. My role means that I am always finding new ways to build fun activities into learning and daily life. I love meeting new children and their families and finding out about their interests and concerns. I especially enjoy designing learning activities that incorporate special interests.
My experience working with children and families over the last twenty years has fueled my belief that we need to provide support at the right time, with the highest standard of care and with the underlying values of nurture, flexibility and quality. To me, this means providing help that involves empathy and adaptability to the changing needs of children and families, which is delivered through strong evidence-based therapeutic approaches. This resonates with the values of Now, Next & Then, which means I continue to advocate for children and families by delivering Occupational Therapy driven by core values and goals.
"It has been a pleasure working with Pinh. She works with the highest level of professionalism, honesty and integrity at all times."

My previous roles have included working with schools to build sensory-rich routines and environments. Using my training in Ayres Sensory Integration Intervention has allowed me to work collaboratively with school teams and to support children and families in building understanding and optimal support strategies. My special interest is understanding the intersection of physical and mental health, especially how the regulation of our bodies requires a holistic approach. I have a Master’s in the Psychology of Education, as well as my BSc in Occupational Therapy.
My background in Psychology complements my Occupational Therapy skills, enabling me to work with people from primary age to adulthood, applying approaches drawn from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Positive Behaviour Support. My previous role as a Primary Mental Health Specialist allowed me to work with a number of schools, providing consultation on varying mental health needs. My experience has allowed me to hone my therapeutic skills to work holistically with children and families.
Outside of work, I am a mother, Tango dancer, and avid ukulele player. I enjoy canal boating holidays and walking with friends and family. I love a good game of Scrabble and Chess, as well as pondering new phrases of the English language. Usually, on the weekends, I spend time on the sofa with my son making junk model vehicles out of cardboard.
“Pinh is a highly regarded, dynamic and reliable OT.”
