Spotlight on resources: Clocky… the alarm clock on wheels!

Every now and then, we discover a product that we really like the look of. This blog is all about Clocky: the alarm clock on wheels!

Clocky combines all the features you would want to see on a traditional alarm clock and then goes a little further: quite literally!

Clocky has an extra loud setting, ideal for heavy sleepers and he is backlit so that the digital time display can be seen in the dark.

You can snooze Clocky once for up to 9 minutes but then Clocky shifts up a gear. Here’s where it gets interesting! Clocky will roll off the surface he is placed on (up to 3 feet high) and roll around the floor whilst sounding his extra loud alarm. Clocky will continue to roll away until he is caught and silenced. This naturally requires the sleeper to wake up, get out of bed, find Clocky and switch him off. Clocky will not be ignored! This movement may help your young person to get moving in the morning to kick start their day.

Clocky will not work for everyone, but may be helpful for kickstarting changes in routines and help shift oversleeping habits, which can create stressful mornings especially on school and work days.

Might be worth a try!
